Rare Polish Wz.98a Mauser FB Radom Rifle 1936 8mm #05730
This is a Polish Wz.98a Mauser rifle manufactured by F.B. Radom in 1936. This rifle is unmodified and retains all of its original Polish markings, and appears to be all matching with matching numbers on the barrel, butt plate, trigger housing, floor plate, follower, bolt release, bolt, cocking piece, rear sight base, rear sight, middle band, and front band. The tag that was on the rifle when purchased in 2006 indicates that it was liberated from the Mauser factory in 1945 and came with the included German bayonet. Chambered in 7.92×57mm Mauser, this bolt-action rifle is a historical military firearm used by the Polish Army before and during WWII. The Wz.98a is known for its robust construction and accuracy, based on the German Gewehr 98 design but modified for Polish service. The rifle features distinctive original two-piece beechwood stock. Highly collectible and in excellent condition, this is an excellent piece for military surplus collectors and Mauser enthusiasts.
