Description
Springfield Armory Model 1903 Mark 1 Rifle 30-06 #1096249
This is a Springfield Armory Model 1903 Mark I chambered in .30-06 Springfield with a SA 11-18 barrel that has a good bore that measures just over a 1 using a CMP gauge, although has slight roughness throughout. The Mark I variant was produced with a cutout on the left side of the receiver to accommodate the Pedersen Device, allowing it to fire pistol-caliber cartridges in semi-auto mode, although the device is not included. This example shows original parkerized finish with a military-style stock and vintage rear sight. Serial number dates this to a production year around 1919. Ideal for collectors of U.S. military arms or early 20th-century bolt actions. No import marks.
