This is a Hungarian M44 Mosin-Nagant carbine, manufactured in 1953 by FÉG. Chambered in the powerful 7.62x54R cartridge, it features the classic Mosin bolt-action design, fixed folding bayonet, and hardwood stock. The rifle is in solid surplus condition with visible markings and a good bore with moderate roughness mid-barrel, making it a collectible and shootable piece of Cold War history. Matching numbers on the receiver, barrel, bolt, and floor plate. Great for military surplus collectors and fans of Eastern Bloc firearms. Import marked.
