Description

WW2 National Postal Meter M1 Carbine Correct Grade #1504448

This is an example of a rare National Postal Meter M1 Carbine, with only 413,000 made, compared to 2.6 million by Inland. This is an excellent example of a correct National Postal Meter M1 Carbine from the 1st block of production that were produced Feb 1943 to Sept 1943. NPM did not make their own barrels, but this one has an excellent Underwood 4-43 barrel with shiny bore that measures just under a 1 using a CMP gauge. It appears to be all matching including: cartouched walnut Trimble TN & NPM FJA cartouche high-wood stock and TN hand guard, UN marked type 1 barrel band, S rear flip sight, NN front sight, LN recoil plate, N trigger housing, push safety, MN mag release, HN hammer, LN sear, SN trigger, N marked slide, N9 flat bolt, NN firing pin, and IN extractor. No import marks.
